Arsenal are interested in bolstering their attack this summer by signing Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao or Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers, according to The Times.
The 24-year-old Brazilian caught the eyes of the Gunners after ending 2024-25 with 18 goals and 19 assists in 47 appearances for the Eredivisie club, emerging as the Dutch Footballer of the Year, and he would be a cheaper option than Rogers.
The Villa star was in fine form during the campaign, notching 14 goals and 15 assists in 54 games, but Arsenal would have to offer a significant transfer fee to have a chance of landing the 22-year-old.
Rogers has proven his quality in the Premier League, earning a place in the England squad as a result, but the Midlands club are unlikely to sanction a sale for such a talented attacker anytime soon.
The North London club are aware and could look to move for Paixao instead following his outstanding campaign in the Netherlands.
The South American also had a decent campaign in 2023-24, scoring 12 times and assisting four goals in 45 games, while his debut campaign in Europe ended with nine goals and six assists.
However, whether Paixao is capable of making an impact in the Premier League remains to be seen given the gulf in quality between the Eredivisie and the English top-flight, but a move to Arsenal could appeal to him after he was not called up to the latest Brazil squad despite his incredible campaign in front of goal.
He plays mainly on the left but can also feature on the right wing and as a number 9, and some of his strengths include passing, finishing, crossing and scoring from direct free-kicks.
