Arsenal supporters have been left stunned by Kai Havertz’s end-of-season transformation, with the Germany international clearly hitting the gym hard to come back stronger than ever. The midfielder-turned-forward, who netted nine goals and provided three assists in 23 Premier League appearances last season, missed nearly 100 days of the 2024/25 campaign due to a hamstring injury.
Havertz was one of several key Arsenal attackers sidelined by injuries, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus also contributing to the Gunners' growing list of absentees. Ultimately, the disruption took its toll, as the Gunners finished runners-up in the Premier League for a third consecutive season and suffered a Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Now, it seems Havertz is determined not to let history repeat itself. He's clearly been putting in the extra work behind the scenes, unveiling a noticeably stronger physique that has caught the attention of many. The 25-year-old looks like a completely new version of himself - physically transformed and ready to ensure he doesn't lose his place in Mikel Arteta's future plans.

Havertz's End-of-Season Physique Has Left Everyone Stunned
His training statistics go a long way to prove how incredible his turnaround is
Arsenal striker Kai Havertz
Before Arsenal's last home game of the season, Arteta spoke in his pre-match interview about how impressed he was that Havertz had not only quashed the doctor's expectations that he would be out for the season, but he also returned to training and first-team action having packed on a few pounds worth of muscle mass.
"There's been a transformation in his body. The last three years of his career have been so condensed that he hasn't had time to do that and this has been a window, and he really wanted to use it," he revealed, as per Daily Mail. Havertz has since shared an Instagram story that proves just how much bigger he's become during his recovery time (see below).
"The staff explained the opportunity that is within his physique to go to a different level. He got on board with that. You can see his presence and I think he destroyed all the metrics that we had in the gym for the last 10 years.
"All of them. Power, acceleration, muscle mass, the way that he has increased certain capacities in his body, his agility, he's been incredible."
Arsenal supporters were quick to heap praise on Kai Havertz after images of his physical transformation went viral. "Wow, he's looking jacked," one X user commented, while another added: "This guy is not joking around. Gonna have a massive season in 2025-26." Meanwhile, a third continued: "What the hell?" and a fourth wrote:
"One thing you can't take away from him is his determination to succeed at Arsenal. Whatever it takes."
During his early months at the club, many doubted whether he could rediscover his best form following a confidence-hit stint at Chelsea, where he only managed to score 32 goals in 139 appearances.
But his newfound physique - combined with his improved goalscoring form - has given the Emirates faithful renewed belief that he still has a vital role to play in Arteta’s plans, and any new striking addition will have to show the same level of commitment if they are to rival the 25-year-old.
