Shaquille O'Neal Hilariously Takes A Shot At LeBron James' Rumored Use Of PEDs

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has recently drawn some scrutiny in the media for the rumored use of PEDs, as is believed by players and others in the community. In the wake of this controversy, NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal hilariously took a shot at the Lakers star in a fly-by comment made while filming on "The Pivot".

O'Neal was having a difficult time getting off his chair when co-host Fred Taylor tried to help him up. His co-host Ryan Clark could be heard jeering, "You ain't that strong", as Taylor attempted to pick the big man up. In a matter of moments, O'Neal was on his feet.

The moment the NBA legend got to his feet, he was in awe, and off the top of his head, he made a hilarious comment, inadvertently taking a shot at James. "You're on that BronBron, ain't you?"

James' unreal athleticism has long since been questioned. His longevity and athletic performance, even at 40 years old, have led people to claim the use of performance-enhancing drugs to maintain his dominance.

The 2024-25 season may have seen James lose a step, but this is expected in Year 22. What is incredible is that he is still able to perform and contribute in the capacity that he does, even at this point in his career.

Fox Sport's Ric Bucher recently expressed that NBA players believe the Lakers forward uses PEDs. However, this was considered utterly baseless, with effectively no legitimacy to it, as Bucher's claim itself was mired in suspicion.

However, he hasn't been the only person to make these claims. Celtics guard Jaylen Brown has also subtly hinted at his belief that James uses PEDs. Meanwhile, former MMA fighter Chael Sonnen has even gone as far as to say that he knows exactly what the Lakers forward uses. As the 40-year-old continues to play out his professional career, it seems unlikely that there will be an end to these claims.

Heading into Year 23, however, there may be some indication that James could be heading into his final season in the NBA. Having achieved every major career milestone and broken several records on the way, LeBron James rightfully finds his place alongside the greats of the game.

Regardless, the forward and the Lakers will have their set on making one more title charge. Paired with a dynamic superstar in Luka Doncic, James and the Lakers will head into the offseason to construct a roster prepared to compete for the Larry O'Brien trophy next season.
