Last month, West Ham and Nottingham Forest were linked with a move for Lazio striker Taty Castellanos and now, Everton have been thrown into the race for the Argentine.
Il Messaggero, as relayed by LaLazioSiamoNoi, have today looked at the 26-year-old and his future at the Roman club.
They claim that considerations are being made at Lazio about the striker and new manager Maurizio Sarri’s opinion can prove decisive.
There is interest from West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Everton, but the Italian has some admiration for Castellanos and this can be key. Lazio can still look for the player’s sale, depending on whether offers come in and the level of those.
As a result, there is ‘no shortage of evaluations on his future’ and there is also interest from Spanish clubs like Villarreal and Real Betis.
The report doesn’t provide an indication of the Biancocelesti’s valuation of Castellanos, but as we have previously pointed out, links with the likes of West Ham, Everton and Nottingham Forest feel like an attempt to force the player’s sale.
Lazio have failed to qualify for European competitions and are in need of money that can help them bolster their side. Castellanos hasn’t made a big mark in Rome and since he isn’t seen as a key player, his sale will not impact Lazio massively.
