Fulham and Leeds United are still ‘lurking’ in the background for Mainz right back Antony Caci but now face competition from Stade Rennais.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that Caci is attracting interest from clubs around Europe thanks to his performances for Mainz this season. Fulham and Leeds are among them.
Caci was a key player for Mainz as they secured European football for next season, with a career high seven assists contributing to that massively.
He now finds himself at a crossroads after three years in the Bundesliga, particularly as his current contract expires in June 2026.
Mainz are trying to extend that but there are numerous clubs in Europe interested in him, attracted by his profile, potential and experience.
Stade Rennais have put him at the top of their list to replace Lorenz Assignon, who is set to join VfB Stuttgart. Leeds and Fulham are also keeping a close eye on him, while Borussia Dortmund consider him as a Plan B.
There’s plenty of competition for the Premier League duo, then, who might want to start making moves no to avoid missing out on the 27-year-old this summer.
