Shaquille O'Neal Involved in Exciting Announcement Made on Wednesday

It was an emotional moment for basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal as "Inside the NBA" aired on TNT for the final time last Saturday. The show is moving to ESPN after 36 years on TNT, marking the end of an era.

Shaq isn’t leaving the show, though. He’ll continue with "Inside the NBA" as it transitions networks and will remain involved with NBA coverage on both TNT and ESPN moving forward.

Outside the studio, Shaq also works as the president of Reebok Basketball, a role he took on in October 2023. On Wednesday, Reebok announced that Netflix released a new documentary titled "Power Moves."

"Shaq is president of Reebok basketball and with Allen Iverson as his VP, they’re going to lead Reebok’s bold comeback," Reebok wrote. "'Power Moves' is out now on @netflix."

Reebok was a major basketball brand in the 1990s, thanks in large part to endorsement deals with Shaq and other NBA legend Allen Iverson. However, after their era passed, the brand struggled to maintain its presence.

In 2006, Adidas bought Reebok for about $3.8 billion. But the partnership didn’t go as planned, and in 2021, Adidas sold Reebok to Authentic Brands Group.

Now, Reebok has fully revamped its basketball division, with Shaq leading the charge and Iverson serving as vice president. By bringing back legendary names like theirs, the brand hopes to attract today’s top talent.

The documentary focuses on Reebok’s journey back to competitiveness and highlights some of the current players they’ve signed, including Chicago Bulls guard Matas Buzelis and WNBA stars Angel Reese and DiJonai Carrington.
