‘We’re talking to other clubs’ - Luis Diaz offers future update amid Barca talk

Luis Diaz’s future has taken a fresh twist just hours after it was widely reported that Liverpool had knocked back an approach from Barcelona.

The forward is currently on international duty with Colombia and was quizzed about a potential move at a press conference.

Diaz says there are talks with other clubs but also did not rule out staying at Liverpool.

“I’m very happy at Liverpool. They’ve treated me well since the first day,” he told reporters.

“We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal. If Liverpool renews my contract, or if I have to stay the 2 years I have left, I’ll be happy. It’s up to them.”

Diaz still has two years left on his Liverpool contract but it’s been reported that club aren’t thinking about offering an extension just yet.

It remains to be seen what happens next, although he still appears to be out of Barca’s price range this summer.
