Paris Saint-Germain has been encouraged to pursue Liverpool's Darwin Nunez amid uncertainty surrounding the striker's future at Anfield.
The European champions, fresh from their 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Munich, are contemplating reinforcements for their squad. Nunez has had a challenging season under Liverpool's new head coach Arne Slot, netting just seven times in 47 outings, with only 17 as a starter.
His international career with Uruguay is also on hold following his involvement in a fracas during last summer's Copa America. Liverpool turned down an offer from Al-Nassr for Nunez in January, while the Saudi Pro League and Spain's Atletico Madrid are believed to be considering moves for the forward this summer.
Ex-France star Marcel Desailly has voiced his opinion that PSG should join the race for Nunez's signature.
"There are two players I'd like to see at PSG and one is Kai Havertz from Arsenal," he remarked. "Havertz is the best option because he can play as a midfielder but also as a point of reference up front as a striker.
"For me Havertz would be the best signing for PSG and the other is Darwin Nunez from Liverpool.
"Nunez is a point of reference and has great movement, he has been unlucky in front of goal but I think he'd do well in a back-up role for PSG. Those are the two players I'd like to see at PSG."

In a conversation with oddspedia.com, Desailly noted: "It's a strange feeling, normally you think all clubs should sign players but for PSG. They might not need any one.
"They have five forwards for the front three positions, they have four options for the midfield three, they have back-ups in central defense and also at both right and left-back.
"Even if you brought in a prime Robert Lewandowski, it would disrupt the dynamic under Luis Enrique, and that's why he won't make changes."
