Tijjani Reijnders is closing in on a move to Manchester City, having openly discussed his impending move recently as well.
Reijnders revealed he spoke to Nathan Ake about a move to Pep Guardiola’s men while admitting that he was waiting for the transfer to be finalised.
The 26-year-old could now have a chance of playing with his Dutch teammate week in and week out at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City could pay £48 million to sign Reijnders, with achievable add-ons potentially taking the deal to £54.9 million and possibly difficult add-ons could mean the transfer amounts to £59 million.

How Pep Guardiola feels about Tijjani Reijnders behind the scenes
Ultimately, Pep Guardiola’s opinion about any signing matters most, especially off the back of a disappointing campaign for City. However, Guardiola rates Reijnders highly, as the Catalan believes he is the perfect fit for City’s number eight position, where the likes of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva largely struggled last season.
So much so that Guardiola’s view on Reijnders’ eventual addition is one where he believes the Serie A Midfielder of the Year could lead Manchester City to the Premier League title, which will undoubtedly be an exciting prospect for the Etihad faithful.
