'Maybe': Gabby Agbonlahor says which team Jack Grealish should join amid Everton interest

Everton have been heavily linked with a move for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish this summer, as David Moyes looks to improve his attacking options.

It is no secret that Everton need more quality attackers this summer, and they will attack the transfer window with that in mind.

David Moyes sees Everton’s attack as a ‘problem‘ that he is desperate to fix in the transfer window. He believes signing Manchester City ace Jack Grealish will help solve the ongoing problems in front of goal.

Everton are seriously interested in signing Grealish this summer, and it looks like the winger is free to leave Man City after being snubbed by Pep Guardiola.

Once sold for £100m, Moyes clearly believes he can get the best out of Grealish at Everton and is eager to make a deal happen.

With Grealish to Everton one option for the 29-year-old, Gabby Agbonlahor has stated where the winger should move to this summer.

Everton target Jack Grealish urged to move abroad by Gabby Agbonlahor

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Grealish had been left out of Man City’s Club World Cup squad, adding more fuel to rumours around his future at the club.

The belief is that Grealish will cost Everton £40m this summer, a fee they should be able to afford given their much stronger PSR stance. A stumbling block could be wages, with the Champions League winner earning around £300,000-a-week according to Capology.

With his Man City career seemingly over, Agbonlahor has suggested who Grealish should sign for next. Sadly, it looks like bad news for Everton.

“If you ask Jack Grealish when he was 19 years old, ‘you’re gonna be 29, you’ve won eight trophies, you’re gonna have won the treble, you’re gonna win the Champions League,'” Agbonlahor said on TalkSPORT.

“Sometimes it’s your time to move on. I’m sure he won’t be too upset about it, he’ll say ‘you know what, it’s my time to go’.

“There will be a lot of clubs around Europe that’ll want Jack Grealish in their team.”

On whether a move to Europe is better for him now: “I would (move to Europe), I’m not sure what Premier League team would suit him at the moment. Maybe a Spurs, a Newcastle.

“Maybe a team in Italy. He’s 30 this year, I want him to go and enjoy it.”

Everton could sign Jack Grealish’s teammate this summer

While Everton are seriously interested in Grealish, they will not be putting all their eggs into one basket to sign him. A deal will be difficult given his wage demands, and how many clubs are interested in him.

However, Everton could still do a deal with Man City for James McAtee, who was also left out of Guardiola’s Club World Cup squad.

McAtee would cost Everton around £35m this summer, and would have much smaller wage demands in comparison to his teammate.

At 22, the future looks very bright for McAtee after breaking into Man City’s starting XI on a consistent basis last season. The attacker also scored more goals than Grealish in the 2024/25 Premier League season, despite playing five fewer games than him.
