Manchester United have high hopes for youngster Gabriele Biancheri amid questions over his club and international future.
Ruben Amorim gave chances to Manchester United talents in post-season friendlies against the ASEAN All-Stars and Hong Kong.
Chido Obi impressed for United against Hong Kong and other young talents will hope to shine over the course of the summer.
Gabriele Biancheri fits that bill, with the teenage forward catching the eye in United’s academy ranks.
United signed Biancheri from Cardiff City in 2023, and he has been prolific as a youngster.
Biancheri scored 10 times in 12 Under-18 Premier League games this past season, attracting interest in the process.

The 18-year-old forward hails from Wales but is of Italian and Canadian descent.

Canada have called Biancheri up for a senior training camp, while Wales boss Craig Bellamy isn’t pressuring Biancheri into a decision on which country to represent.
As if that isn’t enough, Biancheri was also targeted by Como during the January transfer window.
United stood firm and kept hold of Biancheri, leaving Cesc Fabregas and co disappointed earlier this year.
Biancheri turns 19 in September and this summer may be the ideal time for him to move out on loan.
United have no interest in selling Biancheri, but first-team exposure away from Old Trafford could be perfect.
Speaking to The Athletic, Biancheri admitted that he doesn’t know United’s plan for him just yet.
Biancheri is open to a loan move away from United but will be ready and raring to go for more opportunities in United’s development ranks.
“I don’t really know the plan for next season,” said Biancheri.
“I just take everything as it comes. If that’s going on loan and learning and getting experience playing men’s football, I’ll take it. If that’s getting a chance with the first team and playing Under-21s and earning my shot, that’s what I’ll do,” he added.
Gabriele Biancheri on Manchester United dream
The path from United’s youth ranks to the first team is a tricky one.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo became first-team regulars without loan moves away from Old Trafford.
Others head out on loan, but many are sold when they return to Old Trafford given the high standards required.
Biancheri added that his dream is to play for United’s first team – and he truly believes that he can get there.
“That’s why I play football: to play at the highest level, to play for Man United’s first team,” Biancheri said. “I’ll always push myself to reach the heights I know I can. Playing for United’s first team is a dream, but I know I can make it happen,” he added.
Biancheri faces a long journey to that point, but United are looking for quality in the final third and the teenager will push himself to prove that he can be the answer.
