Manchester United transfer news this summer window as Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres is said to be the subject of interest from Premier League clubs

Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly open to signing for Manchester United this summer transfer window.
Gyokeres is reputedly the subject of interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. All three teams qualified for the Champions League last season, while United will not play in any UEFA competition next term.
However, the absence of European football at Old Trafford would not be something that would lead to Gyokeres ruling out a move to the club, it is claimed. Signing the striker still seems possible after United missed out on their top centre-forward transfer target, Liam Delap, to Chelsea.
The radio station talkSPORT reports that any move materialising would rely on outgoings as Sporting CP want around €70 million (£59million) for the player. They also acknowledge that United are not yet in formal talks over any deal.
However, their head coach, Ruben Amorim, has purportedly maintained contact with the player despite departing the Portuguese club in November. He would reportedly relish reuniting with the Sweden international at United.
That does, though, contrast with what the coach said during a press conference in late April when asked about the possibility of signing Gyokeres. "I didn't talk to him," Amorim acknowledged.
"But if a player only wants to come to Man United to play in the Champions League, then he won't come. We want players who want to represent United, not players who want to play in certain competitions."
Reports then said that Gyokeres only wanted to join a team playing in the Champions League. That was still a possibility for United when Amorim made those comments, but their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final ended those hopes.
talkSPORT also reports interest from Saudi Pro League sides Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah. Albeit, a move outside of Europe is not said to be something the player is considering, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain two more teams linked.
