The search is on for a new head coach of the New York Knicks, and a number of names are being tossed around the NBA world.
The Knicks have been tight-lipped about their search, but according to a new rumor, there are several people they are thinking of.
Apparently, Jason Kidd, Mike Brown, and Luke Walton are all being considered for the job.
“Jason Kidd, another potential candidate, is also under contract with the Mavericks, but the possibility of him shaking loose is less clear at this point. Two random names I heard recently for the Knicks job are Mike Brown (currently unemployed) and Luke Walton (lead assistant in Detroit),” said Knicks insider Stefan Bondy, via NBACentral.
Mike Brown and Luke Walton are among the head coaching names linked to the New York Knicks, per @SbondyNBA

Kidd, of course, already has a job as head coach of the Dallas Mavericks.
With Cooper Flagg incoming and a lot of potential ahead for the Mavs, it seems unlikely that Kidd will give up his job, but maybe the money is right, and he contemplates it.
Meanwhile, Brown has been unemployed since getting fired by the Sacramento Kings earlier this season.
Brown’s resume is lengthy, and he has found great success throughout the league.
He has a lot of respect, but could he take this team to the next level?
The same question is being asked of Walton, who was head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings before becoming an assistant for the Cleveland Cavaliers and now the Detroit Pistons.
Walton got his start under Steve Kerr with Golden State.
Even if they aren’t chosen for the Knicks job, both Brown and Walton will be talked about any time there is a coaching vacancy in the NBA.
They are looking to make a comeback, and it’s probably just a matter of time before they get a new position.
