One of the most anticipated events every year is the Madden release. A prominent videogame franchise, players and fans alike eagerly await to see what kind of rating they have been awarded. Since not many rookies are getting a bigger spotlight than Travis Hunter, it was abundantly obvious that they were going to include him in one of their teasers. The Jacksonville Jaguars should be thrilled about the final product.
The trailer for Madden 26 is out, and Hunter is featured on it doing a backflip in a celebration after scoring a touchdown. Here's the snippet, via Jamal St. Cyr of News4Max.
One new feature that will be included in the game is personalized celebrations. Travis Hunter got one of his, and it's one the Jags would love to see every game next season.
The series has recently come under scrutiny because Electronic Arts is the only video game company that has the license to use NFL logos and players, and hardly ever adds any noteworthy innovations. The good news is that the latest version of Madden appears to include several notable changes.
Just recently, the Jaguars made headlines because sophomore cornerback Jarrian Jones popped up on the cover of Madden 26. The downside of the apperance is that he's been leapfrogged by running back Saquon Barkley, as it happened when Jacksonville faced the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. The silver lining is that he had the Jaguars logo removed from his helmet. Nevertheless, everyone knows he was the player on the wrong end of the play.
Travis Hunter was the obvious pick to represent the Jaguars on Madden 26
Travis Hunter was the highest-rated prospect in the NFL Draft, and the Jacksonville Jaguars stunned everyone when they traded up to select him second overall. All things considered, it was a bold move, but one that's already paying dividends.
After all, Hunter is poised to play two ways full-time (or as much as possible) in the modern era. And that's the thing, he played wide receiver and cornerback at Colorado because he could. Even if it takes him a bit to hit his stride, he's already showcasing the talent that helped win the Heisman Trophy during Organized Activities.
Heck, based on all the attention Hunter is getting off and on the field, general manager James Gladstone's remarks about him being a sport-altering talent don't sound like hyperbole. In fact, he's already helping the Jags gain relevance without playing a single NFL snap, and his latest inclusion in the Madden trailer is proof of it.
