The Phoenix Suns’ offseason has been filled with drama thus far as they try to make their roster back into a title contending one.
Of course, Phoenix put together a horrible season that saw them finish 11th in the Western Conference with an abysmal 36-46 record as they missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign.
Because of this, the Suns now have a crucial offseason ahead of them as they are expected to make some major changes to roster that likely includes them moving on from both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal to rebuild around Devin Booker.

Phoenix has already made some changes to their organization thus far by hiring Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott as their new head coach and they also promoted Brian Gregory as their new general manager.
Now the Suns’ focus shifts to their roster and insider John Gambadoro reported on Thursday how the franchise feels about Beal being on their roster moving forward.
“They do NOT want him back. But he is untradable and if he does not agree to a buyout they may be stuck with him,” Gambadoro posted on X. “One of the questions they asked candidates during the coaching cycle was what you would do with Beal. They 100% don't want him and are looking at how to get out.”
It is clear that Phoenix is going to try everything they can to move on from Beal this summer, but that will be easier said than done due to his no-trade clause and massive contract.
Of course, Beal struggled mightily last season as he played in only 53 games due to injury and was also moved out of the starting lineup for most of the season.

With Beal’s struggles, the Suns will likely have a hard time finding a team that is willing to take on his monster contract and it ultimately becomes a decision by Beal due to his no-trad clause.
If Beal is unwilling to work with the Suns on a trade, they may be forced to buyout his contract, but if not, they may be stuck with him again next season.
