Manchester United’s young starlet, Amad, has withdrawn from the Ivory Coast squad ahead of their upcoming friendlies in Canada.
Amad has been a stand out performer in what has been a disappointing season for Manchester United.
The Ivorian has lit up Old Trafford numerous times throughout the season, exciting the United fans and lifting them off their seats.

Manchester United fans around the world are excited to see Amad develop in to what fans believe to be United’s star of the future.
This season Amad has played a total of 43 games for United, scoring 11 goals and assisting 10.
His most notable goals this season were scored in December’s Manchester derby, where United came back from 1-0 against rivals Manchester City to win the match 2-1.
Amad scored a 90th minute winner to quieten the noisy neighbours and give Ruben Amorim a victory in his first ever Manchester derby.

Amad’s Ivory Coast are set to face New Zealand on Sunday, before facing Canada three days later in Toronto.
Amad was expected to be available for selection, having missed Ivory Coast’s 2026 World Cup qualifying victories over Burundi and The Gambia in March, due to a ankle injury.
However, the Ivory Coast Football Federation have confirmed the United winger will miss the upcoming fixtures due to “administrative reasons.”
They have not specified the nature of the “administrative reasons”, but he is not the only international star to miss out.
A Football Federation statement [via SABC Sport] read “The Ivorian Football Federation informs the press and the public that players Amad Diallo and Dorgeles Maho, called up by national coach Emerse Fae as part of the four-nation tournament called the Canadian Shield, are unavailable for administrative reasons”.
Amad has not played for his country since coming on as a 61st-minute substitute in their 2-0 win against Chad, back in September 2024.
United fans will be relieved that Amad has not missed out due to an injury issue, as the Ivorian will be vital to Ruben Amorim’s side rebounding from a terrible season.
