Man United are looking to sell several players this summer, in order to generate a bigger transfer budget.
Furthermore, Ruben Amorim is also going after Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, who is expected to cost around £60m. The United boss will also want to add at least a striker, a midfielder and a goalkeeper too.
With that in mind, United need to start selling players to boost their transfer funds, and one name that they are looking to offload this summer is Jadon Sancho, who was on loan at Chelsea last season.
Aston Villa want Sancho
Sancho is on £300,000 per week at Old Trafford, and the Blues weren’t prepared to pay him anything close to that figure. The English attacker will now return to Old Trafford, and United will have to find an appropriate buyer for him.
According to TeamTalk, Aston Villa are looking for a new player on the left side of their attack, after Marcus Rashford left following his loan deal at Villa Park. The report says that Sancho is of consideration with Unai Emery’s side. It says that there has been no advanced talks yet, but developments regarding Sancho’s move are expected to come in the next few days.
Villa aren’t the only side to be keen on Sancho either, as AC Milan and Napoli are both reportedly wanting to sign the 25-year-old in order to strengthen their attack this summer.
Sancho impressed during his time at Stamford Bridge, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists for the Blues, earning praise from coaches and pundits alike.
Earlier this season, former United defender Rio Ferdinand said on TNT Sports: “Sancho is a game-changer. He creates, he scores, and he’s got that swagger. He's the type of player who gets fans off their seats.”
Man United ‘make opening offer’ for Sancho replacement
With Sancho looking to leave Old Trafford, the Red Devils are looking to replace him, and the likes of Antony and Marcus Rashford, all of which are expected to leave the club this summer.
The Cameroon international scored 20 Premier League goals last season for Thomas Frank’s side. There is optimism around United that they will be able to secure a deal for Mbeumo, but they would like to sell Sancho first.
Seeing as reports have said that Mbeumo is reportedly wanting £250,000 per week if he joins Manchester United, the Red Devils will want to get Sancho’s £300,000 per week contract of their books.
