Brian Callahan Reveals Interesting Story About Titans Rookie’s Commitment

For months, it seemed like the Tennessee Titans were open for business.

They hinted at potentially trading down from the No. 1 pick if a team came knocking with the right offer.

That all changed once they met with Cam Ward and watched him throw.

The Titans made it loud and clear that they had no intention whatsoever of trading down and passing on the Miami product.

Now, it’s easy to understand why.

As reported by Sleeper Titans on X, head coach Brian Callahan revealed that Ward is the first to arrive at the facility and the last to leave.

Apparently, he gets there every day at 5 a.m., and his coach has had to ask him to leave at night some days.

Titans HC Brian Callahan says Cam Ward shows up to the facility at 5AM every day, and some nights they have to force him to leave.

That’s the kind of commitment and relentless work ethic you want from your rookie, much more if he’s the No. 1 pick, and more so if he’s expected to be your franchise quarterback.

The Titans also have Will Levis there, but given the way he underperformed and struggled with turnovers and decision-making, Ward should be the leading candidate to be under center come Week 1.

Ward was the consensus No. 1 pick for most of the pre-draft process, but some scouts and executives claimed that he wouldn’t have been such a high selection in last year’s quarterback-studded class.

He will enter the season with a big chip on his shoulder and the determination to prove them wrong and put an end to his team’s struggles once and for all.
