Manchester United have been busier than Arsenal in the transfer window so far.
Despite missing out on European football altogether, Manchester United managed to sign Matheus Cunha in a £63m move from Wolves – a smart move for a player who scored 15 Premier League goals last season.
Furthermore, Bryan Mbeumo – who Arsenal were speaking to – has opted for a move to Old Trafford, with Manchester United now in negotiations over a fee with Brentford.
Now, another Arsenal target could join Manchester United instead after an update on Viktor Gyokeres.
Viktor Gyokeres open to joining Manchester United
TalkSPORT now state that the Sweden international is willing to reunite with Ruben Amorim at Manchester United, despite the fact it would mean he misses out on European football for at least one season.
Gyokeres – who Chelsea also like – worked with the Manchester United boss at Sporting CP, remarkably scoring 66 goals in 68 games under his guidance, also providing 23 assists.

TalkSPORT claim that Amorim has kept in touch with the Swede ever since leaving Lisbon for Old Trafford back in November, and he will be allowed to leave for £60m this summer – far below his £85m release clause – thanks to a gentleman’s agreement with Sporting CP.
In regards to Arsenal, the story states that Andrea Berta – Director of Football at the Emirates Stadium – is still deciding whether to push for Gyokeres or RB Leipzig No.30 Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal need to make a decision, with Liverpool also a threat
Not only could Manchester United sign Gyokeres, but Liverpool are now being linked to Sesko – amidst rumours Darwin Nunez is leaving Anfield.

Therefore, a nightmarish scenario could happen for Arsenal where their two main striker options join Premier League rivals.
Arsenal also like Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, but Chelsea have been in talks of late – ultimately, the market for a striker is a densely populated one this summer, so the Gunners need to hurry up.
