The end of Kevin De Bruyne’s Man City story is just around the corner.
After 10 successful years at the Etihad Stadium, the midfielder will leave the Manchester club at the end of June when his current contract expires, after the City hierarchy made the decision not to offer the Belgian a new deal.
De Bruyne will write the next chapter of his career at Napoli, a move that will allow him to continue competing in the Champions League, while also linking up with his good friend, Romelu Lukaku.
The Man City legend got an incredible send-off after his last game at the Etihad against Bournemouth last month, while former teammates sent the superstar heartwarming messages, with Leroy Sane posting about De Bruyne on his social media accounts.
Kyle Walker was not one of them, however, the Englishman has now revealed what he did behind the scenes for the City hero.

The right-back was also one of those, and the 35-year-old recently showed it, as the defender has revealed that he sent the Belgian a private voice note for his Man City farewell.
“No, but I did send him a lovely… I’ve seen a lot of people messaging on Instagram and stuff like that, saying that I didn’t give him a send-off, but I sent him a really nice voice note, and he sent me one back, which I saved now,” Walker said on The Kyle Walker Podcast.
“I’ve saved it and I thought, you know what, that’s something I’m going to keep. You know what I’m like when my messages get too much and start deleting loads. Just deleting it off my phone. So that one I’ve saved, and he said some really nice words in it.”
Walker and De Bruyne enjoyed eight years together at Man City, a period in which they won everything at the Manchester club, which has resulted in an incredible record.

Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne’s Premier League record at Man City
Walker joined Man City in 2017 from Tottenham and played in 212 Premier League games alongside De Bruyne, winning 153, drawing 31 and suffering defeat in 28.
This is an incredible record as the pair went on to win six Premier League titles, which includes an unprecedented four in a row.
In all competitions, the pair only combined for four goals, which seems quite low given how many games they have played together.
When Walker looks back on his career, De Bruyne will certainly be named as one of the best players the Englishman has played with, while the Belgian will also say the same about the right-back. The duo enjoyed an incredible time together at City, and it is one fans will never forget.
