Manchester United could invest in another wing-back this summer as Ruben Amorim continues to recruit for his 3-4-2-1 approach.
Manchester United have made a hot start to the summer transfer window with one major signing already agreed.
United have struck a deal for Matheus Cunha, with the Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker poised to arrive at Old Trafford.
Cunha may not be the only attacking addition, though, as Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo wants to join United.
United’s first bid for Mbeumo has failed, but talks continue over a potential deal to sign the Cameroonian.
Other positions will need attention this summer, and another wing-back could be a priority even after United signed Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu from Lecce in January.

Roger Fernandes update amid Manchester United interest
Dorgu has shown some promise but United may look for a wing-back who can operate on either flank.
Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui seemingly are not viewed as natural wing-backs under Amorim.

Geovany Quenda had been a United target but the Sporting talent has instead signed for Chelsea.
The Portuguese market may remain of interest to Amorim, and United have shown an interest in Roger Fernandes of Braga.
Reports in March suggested Braga want £25million for Fernandes, but his asking price appears to be on the rise.
A Bola claim Braga now want to stick to the €40million (£33.5million) release clause in Fernandes’ contract.
That is an £8million increase on the rumoured asking price, with Braga seemingly unwilling to accept any discounts.
Fernandes featured as a wing-back or as a winger for Braga and has big potential at the age of just 19.
Fernandes’ ability to play on either flank may well appeal to Amorim, but £33million on such a raw talent could be a risk.
Benfica one to watch in Roger Fernandes race
United may not be alone in the hunt for Fernandes.
Correio da Manhã reported late in May that Benfica are eyeing up a move for Fernandes with Angel Di Maria moving on this summer.
Benfica view Fernandes as a winger and could launch a move of their own in an attempt to keep Fernandes in Portugal.
Benfica are selling Alvaro Fernandez to Real Madrid, with the former United talent on the verge of a huge move.
Fernandes being able to play as a winger or wing-back – possibly even full-back – may really appeal to Benfica as both Di Maria and Fernandez depart.
United may need to move quickly in order to avoid missing out on Fernandes, but the focus on attacking signings may mean the teenager is not a priority at this stage in the window.
