The Cleveland Browns will be the biggest offseason story until the start of the 2025 NFL season because of its quarterback battle situation. Shedeur Sanders is already drawing a lot of attention during OTAs.

Mandatory minicamp will take place next week and the quarterback battle will continue to heat up. For now, Sanders is fourth on the Browns depth chart, but a lot can change between now and the start of the 2025 NFL season. One analyst thinks there is a chance for Sanders to start for Cleveland in the 2025 NFL season.

A lot of people are expecting for the Browns to start either veteran Joe Flacco or Kenny Pickett in Week 1. However, there is a chance that rookie Dillon Gabriel or Sanders could start instead depending on how the competition plays out. Aaron Goldhammer of ESPN Cleveland said about Sanders on Thursday morning,
“I think there’s a way that Shedeur Sanders starts the first game.”
It will be interesting to see if that will actually occur or not. Sanders has been performing well so far despite being listed fourth on the depth chart. At some point, he may get elevated on the depth chart and things could change when training camp begins.

No. You put any rookie out there without the proper development, you will ruin them! Especially with the Browns schedule this season. These guys just don’t think 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Is that really what we want though for his long term success?
Again, we keep sending these young QBs to the slaughter house. Maybe after 25 years, we should try a different strategy.

A lot of Browns fans don’t want to see Sanders thrown into the wolves right away for Cleveland. They want to see Sanders take his time with his development. The Browns are not going to be keeping four quarterbacks on the roster, but analysts need to talk about if Sanders is going to make the team more than whether or not he will be the Week 1 starter for them.
