New Broncos Safety Sends One-Word Message on Sean Payton

The Denver Broncos, since bringing in Sean Payton to be the head coach, have turned things around drastically. From being one of the worst teams in the NFL to now set up to compete for a playoff spot, the Broncos are on the rise.

New Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga, in a recent interview with NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Steve Wyche on The Insiders, answered a question about what it's been like to be coached by Payton. Hufanga gave a one-word answer that summarized the experience: "Diligent."

The Broncos are poised to make an impact in the 2025 NFL season. With Bo Nix and an improved offense, along with an already great defense getting even better, the Broncos will be competitors in 2025.

Hufanga was one of the most important additions the Broncos made in the offseason. He'll start at one of the safety spots and play a role in a defense that has a chance to be the best in the NFL in 2025.

With a new team and with Payton for the first time in his career, Hufanga has noticed how diligent the Broncos have been in preparing for the season.

"He's very smart. He has seen a lot of ball." Hufanga said on The Insiders. "You know, just coming out there and giving me just little tidbits of stuff that I just haven't heard of in my career, and try and take that in and go out there and apply it to my game in the best way possible to help us win."

Even after four years with the San Francisco 49ers, Hufanga is still learning new things. Payton's vast experience in the NFL is helping Hufanga expand his game and improve as a player.

Across his four years in the NFL, Hufanga already has a Pro Bowl nod and an All-Pro under his belt. Hufanga signed a three-year deal worth up to $45 million in the offseason with the Broncos. With his new team, Hufanga is already experiencing growth, thanks in part to Payton's influence.
