According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Knicks made a trade offer to the Phoenix Suns for Kevin Durant at this season's trade deadline.
“There was some mutual interest between Kevin Durant and the Knicks at the trade deadline, and the Knicks made an offer for Kevin Durant at the NBA trade deadline,” Charania revealed on ESPN's NBA Countdown.
Ultimately, the Knicks reached the Eastern Conference Finals, falling to the Indiana Pacers in six games, while Durant and the Suns failed to reach the postseason and are expected to undergo a major roster shake-up this offseason.
