The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best offenses in the league. They have Pro Bowl players at almost every position, and a Super Bowl MVP at quarterback to lead the way.
It's easy to assume that this group will be as elite as they were in 2024 this season.
Could they slip?
Crazier things have happened.
And if there's one question that the group needs to answer this season, the main topic centers around their play-caller.
Passing game coordinator turned offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has been promoted to play-calling duties this season after Kellen Moore left for a head coaching job in New Orleans.
Patullo has been with the Eagles since head coach Nick Sirianni was hired in 2021. While he has never called plays, he is ready for the next step in his career.
That doesn't mean he is off the hook, though, when it comes to pressure.
The Athletic's Mike Jones shared one "pressing question" … and Patullo is the biggest one for Philly.
"How will he ensure continuity while helping the champs continue to evolve?" Jones wrote. "Boasting one of the most well-rounded and potent offenses and a Lombardi Trophy came at a price."
Patullo is expected to run an offense that mixes what Moore and Sirianni have brought forth in recent years. It's a big reason why the team remains a likely candidate to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
The answer to the question? They should have an offense that continues to excel when needed most.
