NBA Fans Buzzing After Russell Westbrook's Major Hint About Future

The Denver Nuggets and longtime star guard Russell Westbrook came up short in the second round of the NBA playoffs against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite the loss in the playoffs, the Nuggets had a great all-around year and Westbrook was a big part of that.

Even at 36 years old, Westbrook remains very productive. He came off the bench for most of the year, but thrived in his role.

During the 2024-25 season, Westbrook played in 75 games and made 36 starts. He averaged 13.3 points per game to go along with 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, while shooting 44.9% from the floor and 32.3% from 3-point distance.

While he could still consider retirement, Westbrook seemingly hinted at continuing his career in a post on Instagram.

"I am a Force of Nature," Westbrook wrote. "Seventeen in the book. Thankful and Grateful for the continued journey. Eighteen on the way."

Fans quickly took to the comments section. It's clear that they want to see him return for another season and many want that 18th year to be played for Denver.
