Aaron Rodgers grabbed headlines on Thursday after news hit that the Super Bowl-winning quarterback has agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year deal.
Rodgers' big decision comes after months of speculation surrounding the four-time MVP's next team. The New York Jets decided to cut Rodgers earlier this year after a forgettable two-season run marred by a major Achilles injury.
Several teams showed interest in Rodgers, and the 41-year-old took his time before finally deciding to join the Steelers.
The NFL took to social media to share its reaction to the big news.
"The King of the Hail Mary is back for another season ð" the league posted on Instagram.
The NFL shared a number of Rodgers highlight clips that featured some of his most memorable Hail Mary plays. Most of them came during his time with the Green Bay Packers, which is where he spent the first 18 years of his career before taking his talents to New York.
Rodgers is no spring chicken, and there's no denying that he's already at the tail end of what has been an iconic NFL career. He's also coming off an uneventful stint with the Jets, which only means that Rodgers will be determined to prove that he still has a lot of gas left in the tank this coming season.
