Packers QB Jordan Love’s Deep Ball is in Mid-Season Form

If there is one thing that the Green Bay Packers know how to do, it is draft and develop talented quarterbacks.

That skill does not appear to be falling off anytime soon, especially with the way starting quarterback Jordan Love looks at practice.

Jordan Love Throws Beautiful Deep Ball to Jayden Reed

Earlier this week, the Packers’ social media team was able to capture one of Love’s deep-ball throws in practice.

However, they were able to edit it and post it as a slow-motion video, which should make Packer fans feel ready for the season to begin right now.

The fact that he was able to connect with all-purpose wide receiver Jayden Reed should also excite Packer fans, considering Reed can be used in multiple facets.

Remember, Reed recorded 912 scrimmage yards and 10 total touchdowns as a rookie two seasons ago before eclipsing over 1,000 total yards this past season.

Look for Jordan Love to Progress

Looking at Love’s numbers from the 2024 season, some casual fans might think that his play from the pocket regressed.

After throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in his first full season as the team’s starter in 2023, the former first-round pick threw for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2024.

He also missed two games due to injury last year.

However, his passer rating jumped from 96.1 to 96.7, and the team itself ended up winning two more games in the regular season.

Love got better in his second season as the full-time starter, but people might not recognize that because of other reasons.

Heading into this season, No. 10 should have his best set of offensive weapons, even without veteran wide receiver Christian Watson, who is working his way back from a torn ACL.

Look for the likes of Reed, Romeo Doubs, rookies Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, Dontayvion Wicks, and Super Bowl champion Mecole Hardman to be solid weapons for Love out of the wide receiver room.

Additionally, having a star running back like Josh Jacobs and a do-it-all tight end such as Tucker Kraft are luxuries that not every quarterback has.

Expect Love to take a strong step in his third season as the team’s starter.
