There is a reason why the Buffalo Bills looked to address their receiver room vacancy during the offseason.
Despite a career year from Khalil Shakir and a solid start from rookie Keon Coleman, Buffalo did not have a true No. 1 receiver on their roster. It wasn't for a lack of trying; They just didn't have someone they could trust in that role.
That may be changing, though.
With the addition of Elijah Moore and Joshua Palmer, the Bills are hoping some of their signings are able to make an immediate impact on the offense.
It's Moore, though, who might be the biggest steal of the offseason.
Throughout OTAs, it is the former second-round pick from the New York Jets that has stepped up in a major way.
While Moore has never recorded a 1,000-yard season, he has had respectable numbers throughout his four-year run with both the Jets and Browns.
The Ole Miss product knows what it takes to make an impact on an NFL offense. He joins his best one of his career yet with Josh Allen, the reigning MVP, controlling the group.
Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White made a note during OTAs that Moore had been an early standout. If this continues, Moore won't just make the roster. He'll be the kind of late-signing that can turn a team into a Super Bowl contender.
And that is exactly what the Bills are hoping from him. … Especially in a now more talented receiving room.
