With just 3 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Pacers trailed by 9 points (99–108), but they went on a 10–2 run and cut the deficit to just two points with 49 seconds left.

Indiana came up with a crucial stop on the Thunder's final possession, giving themselves a chance to take the lead—and they seized it in stunning fashion.

Once again, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton provided the magic. He drilled a deep two-pointer with just 0.3 seconds remaining, silencing the rowdy OKC crowd with a game-winner for the ages.

With 9.5 minutes left in the game, Indiana was down by 15 points (79–94), becoming just the third team since 1971 to overcome such a deficit in an NBA Finals game and come out victorious.

The hero of the night, Haliburton, finished with 14 points (4/6 on two-pointers, 2/7 from three), 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in 39 minutes of play.

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers in scoring with 19 points, adding 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

Game 2 will be played Sunday in Oklahoma City.
