Ange Postecoglou and Ruben Amorim will both be fearing for their jobs this summer.
Both Tottenham and Manchester United endured eerily similar campaigns last time out, though it was the former that ultimately found the most success.
After Spurs beat Man United to secure the Europa League trophy, Postecoglou’s side qualified for the Champions League, while the latter will be staring down the barrel of a Europe-less campaign next time out.
Despite the success, Postecoglou is still under heavy pressure, though Amorim will be feeling it just as much.

Man United appointment mooted for ex-Spurs boss
Dating back to May, Amorim claimed that he would consider quitting Man United if their wretched form continued, and since then, United have won just once, lost a Europa League final, and finished 15th in the Premier League.

He will undoubtedly be under pressure heading into the summer, and Tottenham favourite Mauricio Pochettino has been mooted as a potential replacement.
The Argentine will have his focus fixed on achieving success with the USMNT, though Paul Robinson thinks he may be able to turn the fortunes around at Old Trafford.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “I think Manchester United need a big reset from the top down. Amorim stuck to the system in the Premier League. Teams worked them out, and they got overpowered and they got beaten every week.

Amorim’s record as Man United manager.
“I think the next manager, if Ruben Amorim isn’t successful at Manchester United, is potentially going to have a bigger job than him if things don’t start well.
“As far as Pochettino going in there, I think he’s a quality coach, and you look at what he did at Tottenham.
“But for Manchester United, he’s certainly a manager and a coach who can make players better. He’s got great man-management skills with players.
“If anyone can turn Manchester United around with a group of players that he doesn’t necessarily want, he’s the type of manager who could do it.”

Pochettino should be looked at by Tottenham
With it looking as though Postecoglou has reached the end of the road, Spurs will already be discussing potential options.
Thomas Frank has held talks, while Pochettino has been mooted for a return, and the latter would make so much sense.
Tottenham need a man capable of revitalising this side, and he showcased his ability to do that, but a lack of investment ultimately led to his downfall.
