Indeed, it was perhaps the best possible advertisement for his upcoming signature shoe, the Hali 1, set to release in September, as he delivered yet another clutch game-winner—shocking NBA fans around the world.
After the game, the Indiana Pacers star praised his teammates for their unmatched resilience in pulling off another comeback win.
"We’re just a really resilient group," Haliburton said. "When it gets to 15, you can panic, or you can talk about how to get it to 10, then to five, and from there."
"There was never a disbelief as a group," he added. "Honestly. We never think the game is over."
He also reflected on his game-winning shot, saying he’s taken that shot "a million times" and will keep practicing it "a million times more."
When asked when he truly believed the Pacers could take Game 1, Haliburton didn’t hesitate:
"When I got off the bus," he replied. "When I put on my shoes."
Looking ahead to Game 2, the Pacers guard is expecting another fierce challenge.
"This is the best team in the NBA. We expect them to respond," he said. "We’ve got to be ready."
Game 2 of the series will be played Sunday in Oklahoma City.
