shown the door: pep guardiola thinks jack grealish could benefit from leaving the etihad
His price tag has been set at just £40m, with City set to suffer a loss of around £60m on their initial investment, according to reports.
A move will not be straightforward, though. Grealish has two years left on his £300,000-per-week deal and will likely face a significant pay cut at his new club.
City are thought to be keen to help the 29-year-old find a solution, with several Premier League sides already registering interest. His boyhood club Aston Villa are reportedly considering a reunion, while Newcastle, Everton and West Ham are also set to challenge for his signature.

Napoli, newly crowned Serie A champions and frontrunners to land free agent Kevin De Bruyne, are also weighing up a move.
No official offers have yet been made, with a move not likely until after the Club World Cup.
Guardiola said in May that a move may be Grealish’s best option after he was dropped for City’s final match of the season, a 2-0 win over Fulham.
“Of course Jack has to play. He's an unbelievable player that has to play football every three days. It didn't happen this season and last season either,” the Spaniard admitted. "He needs to do it. With us or another place. It's a question for Jack, his agent and the club."
City will look to refresh their ageing squad this summer after struggling through a trophyless campaign and have wasted little time in the market, with three signings expected to join ahead of the Club World Cup.
A £46.2m deal has already been agreed for AC Milan forward Tijjani Reinders, while Lyon’s maverick winger Rayan Cherki is also expected to join up. Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is set for a medical on Saturday.
Speaking after Thursday’s thrilling nine-goal defeat to Spain, Cherki said the deal was progressing: “Yes, it’s getting done. But you already know my answer, everybody knows.”
