Manchester United have been heavily linked with Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old is reportedly prepared to join the Red Devils this summer but is hoping to earn a staggering £250,000-a-week wages at Old Trafford.
This would make him one of the highest earners at the club, but United are ready to meet the forward’s staggering salary demands if they agree on a fee with the Bees, per the Mirror.
Ruben Amorim’s side are looking to reinforce their attack after a disastrous 2024-25 campaign which saw them finishing in 15th place and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
They have already secured a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha and are now determined to wrap up a move for Mbeumo.
Man Utd launched a £55 million bid to sign the Cameroon international, but that was turned down by Brentford.
The Bees are reportedly holding out for £60m, despite the attacker having a year left on his current contract.
Talks will continue between the two clubs, and United are confident of sealing a transfer for the versatile forward.
Mbeumo has been excellent for the West Londoners since joining the club in 2019. He helped them gain Premier League promotion in 2021 and has also been a consistent performer in the English top-flight.
The talented winger has registered 70 goals and 51 assists over the last six seasons for Brentford.
The 2024-25 season was his most productive as he bagged 20 goals and nine assists in 42 total matches.
