Ibou on Frimpong: “I Have No Worries About Him”

In a wide-ranging interview with The Athletic, [Liverpool FC](https://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com) defender Ibrahima Konaté talks a variety of subjects, including the transition from Klopp to Slot, the parade, watching PSG vs Inter at the French National Team camp, and uh... pushing international teammate Ousmanne Dembele for the Ballon D’or amongst other things.

In between all that, Ibou was asked about his potential new partner on the right side of [Liverpool](https://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/)’s defence next season, new signing Jeremie Frimpong:

> “I think the coach’s instructions to him will be clear because we’ll do lots of video work. The fact he’s signed for us means he must have spoken to the coach a lot, so he’ll know what the coach expects from him.”

>

> “It’ll be different with him compared to Trent. That’s for sure, because they’re different players. But I’m happy for him. He’s a good person, very funny, and I wish him every happiness at Liverpool when he arrives. I have no worries about him.”

Besides the obvious change in playing style, I’m also very excited for two of the squad’s biggest personalities to share the right side of defence. Whatever happens, it’ll be very entertaining.
