‘Step by step’ – Man Utd ace drops spine-tingling 18-word message after Brazil performance vs Ecuador, Carlo Ancelotti would approve

Casemiro shared a spine-tingling message with Brazil fans after the Manchester United star made his return performance against Ecuador under Carlo Ancelotti.

The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder took part in Manchester United’s post-season tour of Asia before he linked up with his Brazil teammates for international duty.

Carlo Ancelotti left Real Madrid at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and the 65-year-old Italian took up the role of head coach of the Brazil national team this summer.

Casemiro had played under Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital and the former Los Blancos star enjoyed success under the ex-Real Madrid manager at the La Liga club.

Ancelotti wasted no time in making the big call to bring the United midfielder back into the Brazil squad for his team’s two World Cup qualifying matches in June.

Casemiro, whose contract with United will expire in 2026, has been capped 76 times for his country and the Brazilian has netted seven times and registered three assists.

Casemiro sends Brazil fans a message after the Man Utd star played for Carlo Ancelotti’s men vs Ecuador in their World Cup qualifier

Casemiro was thrust straight back into the Brazil starting XI for Carlo Ancelotti’s first match in charge of the national team on Friday against Ecuador.

The Brazil international played the full 90 minutes at the Estadio Monumental and the five-time World Cup champions saw out a lacklustre 0-0 draw on the day.

Ancelotti’s side walked away with a point from their World Cup qualifier on Friday and Brazil are currently fourth in their qualifying table after 15 matches played.

Brazil are two points behind third-place Paraguay and second-place Ecuador and Ancelotti’s men are 12 points adrift of defending World Cup champions Argentina.

Casemiro took to Instagram after the 0-0 draw at the Estadio Monumental and the United and Brazil midfielder sent out a powerful message on social media.

Posting to his 22.2m Instagram followers, he wrote: “Very happy to be back from a very demanding match in Guayaquil.

“Step by step we are growing!”

What’s next for Casemiro and his Man Utd teammates for Brazil amid the World Cup qualifying campaign?

Casemiro was called up for international duty alongside United teammates Antony and Matheus Cunha for Brazil’s World Cup qualifying campaign this summer.

Antony, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Real Betis, was on the bench for the Ecuador match and was an unused substitute for Brazil boss Ancelotti.

Matheus Cunha, who arrived at Old Trafford from Wolves this summer, was also on the bench and the 26-year-old Brazilian attacker came on in the second half.

Tottenham forward Richarlison was withdrawn in the 64th minute and Cunha took his place in attack, but the United new boy did not have a major impact for his side.

Brazil will now return to action on Wednesday and will face Paraguay at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo for their World Cup qualifying match.
