SAINTS defender Ronnie Edwards has been named in the England Under-21s 23-man squad for this month’s UEFA U21 EURO Championship.
Edwards, who spent the second half of the 2024/25 on loan at Championship outfit QPR, will be part of Lee Carsley’s squad heading to Slovakia.
The Young Lions are aiming to defend their title claimed in 2023, which was lifted by captain and Saints teammate Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Edwards, 22, is the only Saints player in the squad, with Harwood-Bellis ruled out of action due to surgery on an ankle injury sustained at Everton.
England will kick off their campaign against Czechia on Thursday, June 12 (8pm) before taking on Slovenia on Sunday, June 15 (5pm BST).
Carsley's side will then face Germany in the final group game on Wednesday, June 18 (8pm), aiming to reach the knockout stages.
The top two in each group will progress to the quarter-finals, with the eventual final playing out on Saturday, June 28 in Bratislava (8pm).
