AC Milan, yesterday, were reported to be interested in Dusan Vlahovic. During the night, these rumours were further strengthened.
There is a clear desire from Milan to add another striker to the ranks of the club this summer. An understandable position considering that Santiago Gimenez is the only senior striker who will be at the club at the start of next season, at least for now.
So, the mercato will have to be consulted, with a number of targets being considered. This morning, links to Mateo Retegui were strengthened, with Sky reporting that the club have him among their top targets.
However, he is not the only Serie A striker to feature high on the list. As reported yesterday, Massimiliano Allegri is fond of the idea of reuniting with Dusan Vlahovic, and in the night, Matteo Moretto strengthened these claims on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, as Milan Reports have relayed this morning.
“Milan is looking for a striker for next year, a name that has come up in recent hours and is one of Massimiliano Allegri’s favourites, even though there are currently no negotiations for this type of player.
“It’s true that in Allegri’s vision for Milan, Dusan Vlahovic would be part of it: he’s under contract with Juventus until 2026 and, of course, his salary could be a very significant and important obstacle. But it should be noted that Milan is looking for a striker. Vlahovic is an idea to keep an eye on.”
