Liverpool have confirmed the departure of seven Academy players as their contracts come to an end during the first stage of the summer transfer window.

Dominic Corness, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers, Lee Jonas, Jakub Ojrzynski, Jacob Poytress and Reece Trueman, none of whom had made it to the Reds' first-team, have all left the newly crowned Premier League champions and are now on the hunt for new clubs.

In a statement, the club said: "Liverpool FC has submitted its Premier League retained list following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. It confirms the departures of several players from the club's Academy set-up.

"Dominic Corness, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers, Lee Jonas, Jakub Ojrzynski, Jacob Poytress and Reece Trueman will all be leaving the Reds upon the expiration of their contracts.

"Everyone at Liverpool would like to thank them for their contributions and wish them the best for the future.

"Meanwhile, contract offers have been made to Kareem Ahmed, Emmanuel Airoboma, Keyrol Figueroa, Kyle Kelly, Michael Laffey, Wellity Lucky, Terence Miles and Ranel Young."

Midfielder Corness, 22, was most recently on loan at League Two side Gillingham. He was closest to the first-team setup at Anfield and featured in a mid-season friendly against Lyon in December 2022.

Signed from Legia Warsaw, Ojrzynski, 22, is a Polish goalkeeper who most recently turned out for Superettan club Utsiktens BK on loan. He was an unused substitute for Liverpool's 2-0 Premier League win at Sheffield United in February 2021.

Enahoro-Marcus, 18, was described by the club as "a commanding centre-half". Evers, 18, plays at left-back or as a left-sided midfielder. Jonas, 20, is a talented centre-half who joined Liverpool FC's Academy having previously been at Everton.

Poytress, 21, is a training goalkeeper previously at Bury and Stalybridge Celtic., while Trueman is another training goalkeeper, previously at Norwich City's academy.

According to the Mirror, there are high hopes at the club for all of the players who have been offered new deals, particularly United States youth international Figueroa.

He is the son of the former Wigan Athletic and Hull City full-back Maynor Figueroa.
