Manchester United target Bryan Mbeumo has lifted the lid on his temperament on the pitch, admitting that he's quick to get "angry". But the Brentford star now sees himself as a mentor, and has revealed how he has helped team-mate Yoane Wissa
The Cameroon international enjoyed a fantastic season with the Bees and scored 20 Premier League goals in a formidable partnership with Wissa, who bagged 19 strikes. And that now appears to have earned Mbeumo a move away from the club.
Manchester United are said to be confident of securing the former Troyes star's signature this summer, and are prepared to stump up a salary that would see Mbeumo earn five times his current wage of £50k-a-week. Brentford have turned down an opening offer of £45million plus a further £10m in bonuses, and are holding out for a £60m package.
United are looking for more firepower having scored just 44 goals in the Premier League last term, and have already added Matheus Cunha to their ranks from Wolves. The Red Devils are set to beat the likes of Newcastle to Mbeumo's signature after the forward indicated his willingness to move to Old Trafford.
And Mbeumo's next club have been given an indication of his temperament before completing a deal. The 25-year-old admitted he can be fiery and that Wissa has helped him manage that.

"He helped me a lot with the mental part," Mbeumo told BBC Sport Africa. "I get angry really easy. He [Wissa] helped me to just stay cool."
Mbeumo, who describes himself as an 'electrical player', has perhaps shown United chiefs he is able to show leadership off the pitch in addition to his talents on it however. The forward took Wissa under his wing upon the latter's arrival at Brentford in 2021.
Wissa, 28, moved outside of France for the first time when he moved from Lorient. Mbeumo was keen to extend his experience to his team-mate having been afforded the same kindness by Julian Jeanvier and Said Benrahma, who helped him settle in.

Bryan Mbeumo wants to leave Brentford this summer
"I learned a lot from [former Brentford players] Julian Jeanvier and Said Benrahma who helped me before so I wanted to do the same with him because I think it is hard when you leave your first place and go to another country.
"I used to live really close to him, just one minute away. Sometimes I was joining him at his, having dinners."
