Jack Harrison will return to Leeds United this summer. The player has spent the last two seasons away on loan at Everton.
The Toffees announced that they would not be keeping the winger beyond his loan deal. This sparked some surprise, as most expected the club to pursue a permanent deal for the player. Sources at Goodison Park claim a move for the 28-year old is not a priority this summer.

Harrison’s return will certainly raise some eyebrows among Leeds United fans. The player’s exit was less than subtle, and rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Now, commentator Ian Darke is questioning if Leeds United should even consider keeping the player around next season:
“I don’t know that he is an upgrade on what they have got, if I am honest with you.” he told MOT Leeds News.
“I think he is a useful player, who has his days, but maybe if you are being harsh, probably not quite enough of them at Premier League level.
“I think he would be a useful squad addition as someone to have around, but is he going to be the difference between staying up and not staying up? I wouldn’t have thought so.”
Jack Harrison is one of the highest paid players at the club, and has three years left on his current deal.
Harrison could still prove useful
Regardless of the perception of him, Jack Harrison is still a serviceable player. David Moyes was fond of him last season. Even though his productivity was almost non-existent, he offered work rate and pressing. This is something Daniel Farke would be a fan of.
Keeping Harrison around would mean that Leeds United have another profile of attacker at the club. Maybe the technical team should think about it.
