Inter Milan Announce Contract Renewals and Departures

Inter Milan had a successful season in Serie A Femminile, finishing second in the regular season and advancing to the Championship Round. The club won half of their matches in the title race but also lost three crucial games, ultimately settling for second place behind Juventus. As preparations for the new season are already underway, Inter Milan have extended the contracts of two key players.

Irene Santi and Beatrice Merlo Sign New Deals

Experienced midfielder Irene Santi has extended her contract with Inter Milan until June 2027. Her 2023/24 season was cut short by an ACL injury, and she underwent surgery in February 2024. Although she made a return ten months later, her recovery was hampered by a few setbacks. Santi now looks forward to the 2025/26 season and aims to return to her best form.

Beatrice Merlo also signed a new deal, keeping her at the club until 2027. Speaking about the extension, she said: “Inter has always been my home, my family, my safe place. I’m really proud to prolong my contract with Inter.”

Inter Milan’s departing players

Ghoutia Karchouni, Sofia Junge Pedersen, and Jasmine Mansaray have all left Inter Milan following the expiration of their contracts this summer. Rachele Baldi has also returned to Fiorentina, concluding her loan spell.

After four years at the club, Ghoutia Karchouni departs Inter. The 29-year-old Algerian midfielder, who joined in 2021, made 71 appearances and scored 16 goals. Known for her technical ability, she played a key role in Inter’s development and their historic qualification for the Women’s Champions League.

Sofia Junge Pedersen joined Inter in 2023 from Juventus. Over two seasons, she made 25 appearances and scored two goals. Jasmine Mansaray’s brief stint with Inter began in the summer of 2024. She leaves after making one appearance during the 2024/25 season.
