PFF Center Rankings: Top 32 ahead of the 2025 NFL season | PFF
1.Creed Humphrey,Kansas City Chiefs
Since stepping foot on an NFL field in 2021, Humphrey has not only been the most productive center but also the most productive offensive lineman in the NFL, period. His 2.05 PFF WAR over the past four seasons is the highest figure among all offensive linemen, and his 94.9 cumulative PFF overall grade ranks second, behind only Trent Williams.

Chiefs WRRashee Rice fully participates in OTA practice
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice’s 2024 season ended in Week 4 after he underwent knee surgery to repair ligament damage, but he was a full participant and “had a good day” in Wednesday’s OTA practice, according to The Kansas City Star.
Kansas City Chiefs OC Matt Nagy discusses Patrick Mahomes’ evolution | USA Today
Last season was Mahomes’ first as a starter without 4,000 passing yards or a Pro Bowl selection. Nagy believes he will bounce back with more efficiency in 2025.
“I think for us, everyone has numbers and everything of downfield throws and accuracy, inaccuracy, they do it, they don’t do it – that’s numbers, but the video shows what’s going on.” said Nagy, “We spend an ordinate amount of time breaking that down this offseason and watching it together. For what it’s worth, at the end of the Eagles game – I know the score wasn’t what we wanted, but there was a pretty good throw at the end of the year there to Xavier (Worthy), and I think that we’re excited to get back to some of that.”
Biggest Question Facing Every NFL Team After 2025 OTAs | Bleacher Report
Kansas City Chiefs: Who’s the starting left tackle?
Patrick Mahomes’ blind side has and will continue to be a big story after the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs are holding a competition for the starting left tackle job during training camp, where first-round pick Josh Simmons and free-agent signing Jaylon Moore will be duking it out.
The Ohio State product seems like the favorite, but he reportedly still has some training wheels on during OTAs while recovering from the knee injury that prematurely ended his season.
“[Simmons is] one that didn’t work this week, but he’s been doing everything up to that point,” head coach Andy Reid told reporters on May 30.
“He’s actually further ahead than I thought he was. Originally, we weren’t going to have him in the Phase 3 part at all, other than the individual stuff. We’ve kept him out of the team stuff with that, but he did all of Phase 2, and he’s done a good job of what we’ve seen. We’ve just got to get him in with the defense against him.”
The Hall of Fame door is open for Chris Jones (if he finishes the job) | Arrowhead Addict
Chris Jones is on a Hall of Fame path if he finishes what he started
Pro Football Reference’s Hall of Fame monitor keeps track of players statistics and accomplishments dating back to 1955. 100 is the average score for any Hall of Fame player. Currently, Jones’ score sits at 66.55, a far cry from the average DT score of 102. Some players from yesteryear like Steve McMichael and Chiefs legend Curley Culp have much lower scores than Jones, but the likes of Donald and Bob Lilly have made the barrier of entry much higher.
Jones needs to score about 40-ish points on the Hall of Fame monitor to cross the average score. He only needs about 11.5 sacks to get to the imaginary average defensive tackle’s score. A routine 2025 for the dominant lineman would likely put him in that territory. Jones also has yet to bring home his very own Defensive Player of the Year, so if he nabs one of those, his Hall of Fame case would be cemented.
Who will be the NFL’s last unbeaten team in 2025? Narrowing the field from 32 to 1! | FOX Sports
Week 4
Didn’t the Super Bowl feel like a changing of the guard, as if the Chiefs’ dynasty was finally crashing to an end? Well, if it did, this will feel like someone slamming their championship window shut.
The Chiefs were the last unbeaten standing last year, losing in Week 10. They’ve been the last unbeaten twice in the past eight years, and six times in the past 29 years — more than any other franchise in that span. But after making the final five this year, they fall at home this week to the Ravens, the team that’s the biggest threat to their AFC crown.
Meanwhile, in Pittsburgh, Week 4 feels like the perfect time for Aaron Rodgers to start showing his age, while the Vikings show everyone what he can’t admit: that they’re better off without him. And the Cards, who were the last unbeaten standing just four years ago (7-0), win their Thursday night game against the Seahawks to be the surprise entry of the final three.
Remaining unbeatens (3): Cardinals, Ravens, Packers (all 4-0)

4. Week 2: Eagles at Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes gets an opportunity to redeem himself after one of the worst performances of his career in Kansas City’s embarrassing Super Bowl loss to the Eagles. In the 40-22 defeat, the two-time NFL MVP and his teammates fell woefully short of their three-peat goal.
The humbling loss led to wholesale changes to an offensive line that allowed Mahomes to be sacked six times in the Super Bowl. This early-season barometer against Philadelphia will provide an indication if free-agent left tackle Jaylon Moore can hold up as Mahomes’ blindside protector.

6.Las Vegas Raiders, AFC West
2024 record: 4-13
Odds of winning division: 7.1% (4th in division)
Odds of making playoffs: 23.9% (13th in AFC)
Look, the Bills and Ravens have had a horrible time trying to get past Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs over the past couple of seasons. You expect the Raiders to get past him in the regular season?
The idea of the Raiders finishing first seems even less likely when we consider the Broncos and Chargers were both playoff teams a year ago. Los Angeles or Denver have a much better chance of leading the NFC West if Kansas City fell off due to injury or other reasons.
However, the idea of Las Vegas as a playoff contender is not necessarily ridiculous, particularly thanks to the addition of veteran QB Geno Smith. Although Las Vegas ranks at sixth here in overall division odds, it is fourth in playoff odds out of all eight teams.

Veteran QB Aaron Rodgers agrees to 1-year deal with Steelers | ESPN
Aaron Rodgers agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team announced on Thursday, ending months of uncertainty around his future and uniting the future Hall of Famer with a club that desperately needs a quarterback.
The Steelers said the contract is pending a physical.
The news comes more than 80 days since the start of free agency and 70 days after Rodgers, 41, visited the Steelers. Sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Rodgers plans to fly to Pittsburgh on Friday and join the Steelers ahead of next week’s mandatory minicamp.
The Steelers never wavered in their belief that Rodgers eventually would sign with them, sources told Schefter.
The deal with Pittsburgh sets up a Week 1 showdown between Rodgers and his former team, the New York Jets, who will host the Steelers in their season opener.
Rodgers had been linked with the Steelers throughout the offseason, especially after Pittsburgh opted to let both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields leave as free agents. Rodgers visited the team’s practice facility on March 21 and remained in communication with the club while weighing decisions about his future for more than two months.
Ravens sign WR Rashod Bateman to three-year, $36.75 million extension through 2029 season NFL.com
Last April, the Ravens signed Bateman to a two-year, $12.87 million extension. The former first-round pick responded with his most productive season, generating 756 yards on 45 caches with nine touchdowns — he’d previously had four total touchdowns in his first three seasons.
With two years left on his deal, the Ravens ensured he’d be around longer while also goosing his guaranteed money.
Despite never having a massive season, Bateman plays a key role in the Ravens offense. This offseason, Baltimore added DeAndre Hopkins to the equation. The trio of WR1 Zay Flowers, Bateman and Hopkins represents the best wideout crew Baltimore has boasted in years.

Chiefs News: Matt Araiza-Eddie Czaplicki punter battle is “real”
Araiza, the team’s starting punter in 2024, made a name for himself coming out of college with his powerful leg. In his first season with the Chiefs, he averaged 48.8 yards per punt (ranking 12th in the NFL), with a net average of 41.8 yards and a season-long 72-yarder.
While Araiza’s power is undeniable, his ball placement left room for improvement, as he landed just 25 of his 62 punts inside the 20-yard line, tied for 16th in the league.
“He’s got a bomb of a leg,” Toub told reporters about Araiza on Wednesday. “He can hit the ball long. We need more hang time on his punts, more vertical power, and then we need more accuracy in the pooch area — which is getting balls inside the 20. That’s what he’s really emphasizing during this offseason.”
As Toub indicated, raw power alone won’t secure the job.
Enter Eddie Czaplicki, an undrafted free agent out of USC who has already turned heads in Kansas City. Czaplicki won the Ray Guy Award as college football’s top punter in 2024, averaging 47.8 yards per punt with 25 of his 43 attempts downed inside the 20. His ability to flip field position with precision stood out; he had just one touchback all season, helping USC lead the nation in net punting average.
