Barcelona now eyeing three options as they give up on Luis Diaz – Report

FC Barcelona are looking to reinforce their attacking line in this summer transfer window and are looking to sign a left-winger in particular to bring more depth to their attacking area.

Their top target was reported to be the Liverpool winger Luis Diaz. However, the Merseyside club is not too keen to part with such an important player, and the Balugranes have already seen an advance for him rejected.

In such a context, Fichajes reports that the Catalans have decided to abandon the idea of signing the Colombian forward, and have turned their attentions elsewhere, with three main options on their list.

Marcus Rashford

One of these players is Marcus Rashford, who is owned by Manchester United but who spent the second half of the last season on loan at Aston Villa.

His future at the Manchester club is quite uncertain, and Barcelona are considering getting him on a loan, while a permanent transfer can also take place if a major sale takes place.

His speed and experience playing at the highest level make him a particularly attractive target for Hansi Flick, who has already given his nod to his transfer.

Nico Williams

Nico Williams is again set to return to the transfer wishlist of the Catalan club, especially as he fits perfectly into the plans of the German manager and also has the support of Joan Laporta.

However, his €60 million release clause is a major obstacle to his signing, and Barcelona will make a decision about his signing well before the end of the transfer window to avoid the mistakes of last year.

Ademola Lookman

The Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is the third option in the Blaugrana wishlist, whose versatility and rather affordable price makes him a suitable option, especially if the other two options do not end up joining them. His versatility can offer immediate solutions to all areas of the attacking line.

For now, it remains to be seen which of these players would join Barcelona, but there is no doubt that all of them will be exciting additions to Hansi Flick’s squad.
