Liverpool confirm academy departures ahead of 2025/26 season

Liverpool have officially released their retained list ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 campaign, confirming a series of changes within the club’s Academy structure.

Liverpool have confirmed the exit of seven young players as part of a significant shake-up within the Academy.

The club’s youth teams faced a tough season, with the under-21s knocked out in the first round of the Premier League 2 play-offs and the under-18s finishing near the bottom of their division.

Among those leaving, midfielder Dominic Corness and goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski stand out as the most prominent departures. (via Liverpoolfc.com)

Corness was known for his technical ability and leadership in the youth ranks, while Ojrzynski, now 22, made the bench for Liverpool’s Premier League win at Sheffield United back in February 2021.
