Ipswich Town will head back to Austria in pre-season ahead of their Championship return.

The Blues will take on FC Blau-Weiß Linz at the Hofmann Personal Stadion on Saturday, July 19th, with kick-off set for 6pm local time (5pm BST). It will be broadcast on Town TV, with ticket information released in due course.

Gerald Scheiblehner's side finished sixth in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, narrowly missing out on Europa Conference League qualification.

This comes after a training camp in Windischgarsten, which will take place from Monday, July 14th to Friday, July 18th.

Town have travelled to Austria in each of the last two pre-seasons. Following promotion from League One, they went twice, first for a game against Flyeralarm Admira in Vienna and then for games against RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen in the Innsbruck Cup, which they won.

Last summer, they beat Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim 1-0 at the Kufstein Arena.

Further pre-season fixtures - including another overseas game - are set to be announced shortly.
