Brentford finally make offer for Antoni Milambo – Transfer now expected to happen

Brentford have finally made an offer to Feyenoord for midfielder Antoni Milambo, around a month after [the player visited England](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-in-england-for-meeting-with-brentford-transfer-now-expected-as-bees-determined-to-get-him/).

That’s [according to 1908.nl](https://1908.nl/artikelen/brentford-brengt-eerste-miljoenenbod-uit-op-milambo), who report that Brentford have made a €19m plus €3m in bonuses bid for the 20-year-old, with the player and his management now confident a transfer will happen.

They state that Feyenoord are now ‘very likely’ to sell the midfielder to Brentford this summer. Milambo has already had a personal agreement in place with the Bees for a while. He will earn up to four and a half times more than he currently does at Feyenoord.

It appears what had become a transfer saga is finally set to be concluded. Milambo has been bouncing between a move to Brentford and staying at Feyenoord for the best part of two months.

It initially appeared that a deal was well on course after Milambo visited Brentford, where he was given a tour and convinced to move to England. He reached a personal agreement with them not long afterwards.

What has followed is various reports that Milambo was questioning the move and Feyenoord were refusing to sell from the Netherlands.

The situation has changed again this week, though, with Brentford making an opening bid of €19m plus €3m in bonuses. Negotiations are now firmly underway as the first bid is likely to be rejected by Feyenoord.

Their board have been firm on their plans with Milambo and used ‘strong language’ to deter Brentford but are likely to accept a deal worth around €25m,a dn there’s optimism a deal is on the way.
