Vitor Pereira needs to carry out some serious surgery on his Wolves squad this summer, with added firepower on his agenda.
It was known for a while that Matheus Cunha’s exit was inevitable, and he finally joined Manchester United on Sunday.
Wolves need to add ‘technical quality’ and goalscoring power to their forward line after selling Cunha, as he netted a whopping 17 goals in 2024/25.
Vitor Pereira does have Jorgen Strand Larsen spearheading his attack, and he netted 15 goals last term, but the big Norwegian needs support.
That could come in the shape of one Lazio forward, whose asking price has been set ahead of a potential summer move.

Wolves target Taty Castellanos is available for £25 million
While Roger Fernandes has been eyed as a Cunha replacement, Strand Larsen needs someone to rival him in the striker position, or perhaps play alongside him.
Wolves have been linked with Lazio forward Taty Castellanos as a potential option, and they’re joined by Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Everton in the race for his signature.
It was said that Wolves were willing to bid £25 million for Castellanos, and now, Football Italia have reported that Lazio are demanding at least €30m (£25m) for the in-demand striker.

In all competitions last term, the Argentine international netted 14 goals and supplied eight assists, which demonstrated his eye for goal and ability to create chances for his teammates.
The 26-year-old is capable of playing as a natural centre-forward, but he can also drop slightly deeper and play as a number 10, demonstrating why he’d be perfect for Pereira’s system.
With Wolves set to receive £33.7m for Ait-Nouri and the £62.5 million fee for Cunha in instalments, some of that should be invested in Castellanos.
Wolves need to beat Nuno Espirito Santo in race for Castellanos
Admittedly, with the lure of European football, former boss Nuno has the edge in negotiations for Castellanos as Forest show an interest in the striker.
But, with the promise of regular first-team football and becoming the main man at Wolves after Cunha’s exit, surely Molineux is an appealing destination for the Argentine.
Wolves is a hotbed for talent coming across from European clubs, or even South American, and normally they develop into superstars.
Castellanos only has to look at the likes of Andre, Joao Gomes and Strand Larsen to know how much supporters appreciate when a player is blessing their side with not just quality, but an eagerness to give their all.
That is why Wolves should go all in and use the persuasion of Jorge Mendes to lure Castellanos to Wolverhampton this summer.
