Arsenal have held new discussions with RB Leipzig in the last 48 hours over striker Benjamin Sesko, and a deal for him is very much on.
That’s [according to journalist Florian Plettenberg](https://x.com/Plettigoal/status/1930985625336873252), who reports that negotiations between Arsenal and Leipzig are on over the Slovenian forward.
He states that the talks are currently ‘positive and ongoing’ and there’s been new discussions between the various parties over the last 48 hours.
In reality, though, this is not much of an update. Arsenal are long-term admirers of Sesko, and that has been well reported by this point. It’s also been well covered that they’re talking to the striker and Leipzig about a move because they want a forward this summer.
Indeed, it seems that they are setting up several possible avenues and Sesko is one of them they’re exploring. Discussions, though, mean very little in reality. Arsenal have been in discussions with Sesko, Viktor Gyökeres and various other potential targets without actually moving close to signing any of them for weeks.
Thus, we’ll stop ourselves from getting too excited about these latest talks for now, hoping for something that pushes this potential transfer forward first.
