Every team needs depth on the offensive line, and the [Denver Broncos](https://www.milehighreport.com) head into the 2025 season looking like the incumbent backup for the guard position.
The Broncos drafted Gargiulo in the 7th round of last year’s draft. He spent most of the year on the practice squad, with a couple of times being made active on game day (no snaps taken though).
Gargiulo was drafted as a project (players that late in the draft usually are). This season, he’ll have a chance in training camp to show what he’s capable of after one solid year of NFL development.

Out of college, Gargiulo wasn’t a guy who raised many eyebrows. He seemed to lack in athleticism and didn’t consistently win in run blocking.
That being said, he is the kind of player who just does the job well enough. He’s doesn’t get blown off the ball much and has the kind of fight in him to hold his own often enough.
The hope is that with conditioning and training, he’s going to show the coaches he’s got what it takes to be relied on in a pinch if All-Pro Quinn Meinerz or Ben Powers goes down with an injury.
Gargiulo has a lot of fight in him, and he’s in a great spot with the Broncos to hone his craft. He’s not fighting for any starting positions this season. This season will be a statement for him about what kind of career path he’s going to have next year. This is a player to keep an eye on when the 2nd stringers play in the preseason.
